Hon. PM said, one of the problems which caused Wenchi Municipal Assembly to delay the distribution of motorbikes to Hon. JM Should Stop Attacking EC And Get Ready For The Internal Politics That Awaits Him- NPP

John Dramani Mahama

NPP’s Convener for Fixing The Country Movement, Ernest Kofi Owusu Bempah has dropped another hot message for NDC on John Mahama’s recent public outbursts. He has stated that former President John Dramani Mahama’s statement against electoral commission of Ghana doesn’t hold water as supreme court has ruled in favor of the electoral commission. John Mahama has made some allegations against electoral commission of Ghana and NPP fixing the country movement Convener team has respond to him in a press statement.

Owusu Bempah penned down long message to clarify why former President John Dramani Mahama should leave the electoral commission of Ghana alone and get ready for the internal Politics that waits him.

“Ladies and Gentlemen of the print and electronic media, we are honoured for your promptness to this press conference. We are seizing this opportunity to salute you all.

Once again for the umpteenth time, the twice-defeated candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is back in the news for all the wrong reasons.

Mr Mahama’s post election antics are getting pronounced, and he’s proving beyond all doubt that he is – and always has been a national and international embarassment.

The recent outbursts from Mr Mahama would have pass without notice but judging from his previous eccentricity, this issue has been elevated to the front pages of public discourse.

Speaking on Global FM in Ho during his “Thank You” tour to the Volta Region, the former president said the 2020 elections were manipulated in NPP’s favour.

Mr Mahama claims the deployment of military personnel to collation centres forced some electoral officers to declare results in favour of the governing New Patriotic Party.

Indeed, in Mr Mahama’s warped mind, the 2020 election was not transparent, as touted by the Electoral Commission.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the media, the other day, it was Mr Mahama’s claim that the EC thumb-printed 1million ballot papers for the ruling NPP. And before then, Mr Mahama had gone to town on the media, the Judiciary and the National House of chiefs.

According to Mr Mahama, the entire nation is against him because all of us here, including you the media are a sell out.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the media, isn’t it interesting to note that the entire country is against Mr Mahama as he claims?

This is the same man who admonished political parties in 2016 to leave the EC alone to do its work. Again in 2012, Mr Mahama had no difficulty siding, and speaking for the Electoral Commission.

Indeed, the memory of Mr Mahama’s strong faith in the integrity and credibility of the EC ahead of the 2016 elections still lives on.

Mr. Mahama on November 18, 2016 as reported by the Daily Graphic, emphatically pointed out that the Electoral Commission cannot rig elections.

Reacting to purported claims by his opponents at the time that the EC was preparing to possibly rig the election in his favor, Mr. Mahama said “Some of them have gone to the extent of saying the Electoral Commission is preparing to rig the elections for John Mahama. What absurd nonsense?”

He noted that “Ghana’s Electoral system is one of the best in the world. Note my words, not in Africa , in the world because it has inherent instruments for guaranteeing its integrity.”

What has changed, Mahama?Apparently, everything with the EC was perfect under Mr Mahama’s reign, but not under the Akufo-Addo regime?

At this point, even the most fanatical supporters of Mr Mahama are getting bewildered. The sheer illogicality of these commentaries by Mr Mahama is really nauseating.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the media, were we not in this country when Mr Mahama went to the Supreme Court for redress over his claims of Electoral malfeasance against the EC? What was the outcome of the Supreme court case?

Is it not interesting to note that during the election petition hearing, Mr Mahama and his witnesses were asked several times by the judges to produce their own collated results and they were found wanting?

Mr Mahama couldn’t produce a distinct figure from the pink sheets in order to challenge what was declared by the Electoral Commission and yet he has continue spouting electoral fraud.

One would have thought that the embarrassment Asiedu-Nketia suffered in the hands of the EC lawyers with regards to the strict prove he was subjected to will change anything. But Mr Mahama is still yelling, alleging and touting voter fraud. Strangely, he couldn’t allege to the courts, but continue to be all talk and NO PROOF and yet we are told to swallow his unfounded conspiracy theory.

Again, If Mr Mahama claims the presence of the military made the EC to declare false results, why didn’t he tender this in his evidence when he went to court?

To the extent that the Supreme Court described Mr Mahama’s witnesses as “Fanciful Witnesses” speak volumes.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the media, while some would speak angrily of this movement as being overly critical of Mr Mahama, Ghanaians do not deserve this man as our former President.

We can state without any scintilla of doubt that the greatest calamity that has ever befallen Ghana is Mr Mahama occupying the highest office of president. No former President worth the office he once occupied will chart the course Mr Mahama is charting.

Jean Mensah

As a matter of fact, Mr Mahama is showing gross incompetence even in opposition. His utterances and baseless rants highlight the weaknesses in our democracy and bring into contempt the office he once occupied.

We’re fully aware that this whole act has always been about Mahama himself while pretending to be about others.

The founder of the NDC, former President Rawlings saw through Mahama’s antics and blew the lid off the 2024 agenda. It has always being about Mahama and his 2024 comeback. Mr Mahama is just clutching on straw and hoping to create a religion of conspiracy to undermine our democracy & ideas that challenge his politics. He needs to be told in plain language that touting these unfounded claims of election fraud without willingness to follow the constitutional procedures is as horrible as Adolf Hitler’s propaganda stunts.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is said that the leopard cannot change its spots, nor can the tiger change its stripes, but it is time for Mr Mahama to pack it in and get ready for the internal politics that awaits him.”

Signed;

Ernest Kofi Owusu Bempah

PRESS RELEASE: President Nana Akufo-Addo Must Respect The people Of Hohoe- NDC Communication Officer Charges

If it is true that Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo is visiting Hohoe, then it is important for us to put him on notice that for the first time, he should show the people of Ghana especially the citizens of Hohoe some respect.
I have perused his itenary and it is clear he will inspect two(2) projects and commission one. The president is suppose to inspect ongoing works of the new Hohoe market, inspect the construction works on the Hohoe UHAS campus on the Fodome road and commission the Gbi-Godenu Rural Technology Centre/ Light Industrial Area.

The good people of Hohoe wish to establish and buttress the point and for it to be known to the President that his government has done nothing original for the people of Hohoe. That is to say he has never initiated any major project and completed same in any part of the Hohoe Constituency since 2017 when he became the president of Ghana.
All the aforementioned projects were all by the efforts of the previous President; John Dramani Mahama NDC administration. The least we will urge the president to do is to respect the people of Hohoe by not speaking untruth about any of this projects and also acknowledge the NDC government for the initiation of the projects.

THE HOHOE MARKET PROJECT
Some clear fact that must not escape the President on his inspection of the Hohoe Market Project is that it is a world bank funded project with Urban Development Grant (UDG) as a reward for the Hohoe municipality performing creditably well in the assembly performance ratings. The excellent performance of the then Municipality Chief Executives under the NDC government gave birth to this project. Records are readily available at the assembly that testify to the fact that the 2 years of Hon. Herman Victor Condobrey, the four (4) years of Hon. Professor Margaret Kwaku as the Municipal Chief Executives were the real deals that gave us the market project. The records below speak for itself.
Improvement on UDG Assessment
1) From 68% in 2012 (2007-2008 assessment) – Hon. John Peter Amewu
2) Moved to 85% in 2013 (2009-2010 assessment) – Hon. Herman Victor Condobrey
3) Moved to 92% in 2014 (2011-2012 assessment) – Hon. Professor Margaret Kwaku
4) Moved to 98% in 2015 (2013-2014 assessment) – Hon. Professor Margaret Kwaku. Acceptably so, the follow ups of Hon. Teddy Ofori also contributed to the project seeing the light of day. President Akuffo Addo should therefore take note that neither him nor any of his Cabinet Appointees, has any hand in that Market Project. He and his government are well known for apportioning glory to themselves where they did nothing and do not deserve. Clear examples are the various interchanges we currently have in Tema, Obitsebi and Pokuase all being the handy works of President John Dramani Mahama. We in Hohoe will not tolerate any form of misleading posturing by the President and his appointees.

GBI-GODENU RURAL TECHNOLOGY CENTRE/ LIGHT INDUSTRIAL AREA.
In the run up to the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, the NPP government machinery in the Constituency deliberately distorted facts surrounding the Gbi Godenu Light Industrial Area, what they want to call Rural Technology Centre (name changing, usual of them).
Let the President make no mistake, the people know the facts. The project was born by the visionary Municipal Chief Executive, Professor Margaret Kwaku under President John Dramani NDC government in 2014. The land itself is a 40 acre land that was purchased in 2014 from the Chief and people of Godenu. The purpose for which the land was bought is to move all the garages from Hohoe to that centre and construct a bolt and nots factory that serves the garages. The land was properly demarcated for the various garages, electricity and water duly extended to the land. Rural Enterprise, an agency under the Municipal Assembly took up the project of establishing the bolt and nots factory. They had since finished with the supper structure before the coming of the Akuffo Addo/ Bawumia government in 2017. At one time NPP went to the site to erect a sign post indicating that the place is a Rice Processing Factory being their One District One Factory Project; huge and a shameful lie. Today, the same people are commissioning the place as Rural Technology Centre. What has changed? It is not an NPP project for it to be counted as one of their One District One Factory Project. The President must not be misled to do any petty politics with it.

UHAS MAIN CAMPUS
Mr. President, the permanent campus of UHAS has a history that must not be messed up with. The people of Hohoe still feel very sad on how we have been treat on this huge project that will have changed the academic and economic fortunes of the whole municipality and beyond. The project was abandoned after the 2016 elections at the stage the John Dramani Mahama NDC government left it. The NDC government ensured the acquisition of the land from the chiefs and people of Fodome, 961acres of land was made available by the people for use. Over 90% of the work done that President will be there to inspect is the handy work of the NDC government. The NPP government, for the last five (5) years, have done nothing significant about that project and it is regrettable. It is not funny and must not be the usual politics by the President. The visit of the President should have been about the commissioning of that project, not inspection after all this years. President Akuffo Addo must reassure the citizens of Hohoe on the early completion of the project.

OTHER MATTERS
President Akuffo Addo should also understand that the propaganda around the construction of the eastern corridor road that he launched on and benefited from is dead and gone. The people along the stretch believe that if President Mahama were still in power, the eastern corridor road would have been completed. The attitude of abandoning projects by the NPP government is sickening and we call on the President to prioritise the completion of the eastern corridor road project.
We are also surprised that the stadium project could not catch the attention of the President for inspection.
We wish to also notify the president that no uncompleted project should be commissioned as it happened in the Bono region.
We are only demanding of the President to respect the people of Hohoe and not fall for petty propaganda on any of the projects. The election year deceptions are over.

Communication Officer – Hohoe Constituency
