“We should not allow our Religion to curtail the power of Women” -Dr Tina Abrefa-Gyan

The Chief Executive Officer of Ewiase and an aspiring Parliamentary candidate for Wenchi Constituency; Dr Tina Abrefa-Gyan pleads to delegates to do away with religious beliefs and give women the chance in the upcoming NPP Primaries.

Dr Tina Abrefa-Gyan who is also an Assistant Professor at Norfolk State University in the United States of America said this in an interview with Mr. Bones, the morning show host of Ewiase FM 95.7mhz in wenchi, Bono Region on Wednesday 11th March following her position on the ballot paper and her aspirations for contesting the seat.

“I plead with delegates to put aside the myths about women that; they can not be leaders can

and can’t do what men does.

and vote for me and see the difference” she said.

Dr Tina Abrefa-Gyan continue her speech by giving some facts about African leaders who are women and supported it with Bible facts on how women are influencial and powerful.

‘If it is possible, we must have a gender Ballance in our Parliament house so we can get different ideas.’ She ended.

EVERY CHILD WILL BE PAID MONTHLY IF I’M YOUR PRESIDENT-KOFI AKPALOO

The founder and leader of Liberal party of Ghana (LPG) Mr Kofi Appaloo has make it clear that, every child in Ghana will receive monthly payment if he is been voted into power come 2020 elections.

Speaking to the media he stated that whiles his family is not in Ghana but they are all in America his children benefit from the child monthly pays so he will introduce such policy in Ghana to remove some of the burdens from thier parents.

Mr Appaloo said that, is the mind that is used to get IGF not by force so he will use that his intelligence to collect tax from the citizens and give back to the people of Ghana.

NPP parliamentary Aspirants begin filling nomination

Lawyer Kay Amoah a legal practitioner and also a contestant to the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa north Hon J B Danquah Adu, who has expressed a strong interest to lead the New Patriotic Party in the Abuakwa north constituency to Election 2020 this year ,has picked his nomination form for the upcoming parliamentary primaries

Nopras FM news anchor Mr Awal Adam, reports from the constituency head office of the NPP that a team from the lawyer camp ,led by Mr Precious and DC Kwakye picked the forms on lawyer Kay Amoah’s behalf Tuesday morning arround 9:30am

Among the team that accompanied Mr Precious and DC Kwakye to pick the form were Mr Alish Bee, Yaw Amoako,and Maabena

Speaking to DC Kwakye, he called for a level playing field and explained that it was lawyer Kay Amoah’s wish to unite the NPP party as well as Tafo and Kukurantumi as it was formerly, also to demonstrate his dedication and commitment to the entire Community of Abuakwa north through infrastructural and human capacity development

As part of the requirement for contesting they presented a cheque of Ghc 2,000.00 to Mr Asare ,the NPP constituency chairman who received them and gave the nomination form

37 year lady finned gh¢1,200 for abandoned her 7th child.

The Wenchi Magistrate court presided over by her Lordship Vivian Lariba Yamusa on January, 28 charged one Augustina Kyeremaa from Ntoase a suburb of Wenchi in the Bono Region an offence of hundred penalty units.

The said incident happened on the 1st December last year around 5:30 am at Ntoase where the lady in question stays.

According to the Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Victor Samadji, the lady who conceive for nine months during her labour kept the baby(girl) in cloth and dropped her in front of one Madam Theresa Nyarko’s premisses. She then called Madam Nyarko to come and see what is in front of her house. Days after, it came into the notice of her landlady that her pregnancy was not there and confronted her but kept quite, the landlady who desperate quickly runs to her mother and inform her. Later, it came into the notice Madam Nyarko that the baby is for Kyeremaa so she quickly went and inform the police for further interrogations meanwhile the baby was send to Wenchi Methodist Hospital and was given to the Social welfare till they finds the mother.

Kyeremaa was prepared before the court on the 28th day of the month of January and pleaded guilty but according to her did that out of hardship because the man by name Seidu, who impregnated her vanished from Ntoase when the pregnancy was announced to him.

Her Lordship, Vivian Lariba Yamusa then passed out her judgment based on what Kyeremaa told the court that she falls in hundred penalty units for that matter has to pay amount of Thousands Two Hundred Ghana Cedis (gh¢1,200) or spend twelve (12) months in jail which according to the Prosecutor the amount has been payed to the court.
