Forthy Two motorbikes which were released to Wenchi Municipal Assembly to be given to Honorable Assembly Members in the Municipality has been commissioned and distributed to Honorable Assembly Members by Management of Wenchi Municipal Assembly.

The programme which was held at the Municipal Assembly Hall saw dignitaries like The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alexander Obour Damoah, the Presiding Member for Wenchi Municipal Assembly, Hon. Samuel Mensah and also the District Police Commander, DSP Eric Awudzivi.

In the Assembly’s maiden Assembly Meeting after the confirmation of the MCE which was held on Thursday, 18th November 2021, the presiding member for Wenchi Municipal Assembly thanked Hon. Assembly Members for making time out of their busy schedule to attend the programme.

Hon. PM said, one of the problems which caused Wenchi Municipal Assembly to delay the distribution of motorbikes to Hon. Assembly Members is that management of the Assembly made efforts to obtain motor licenses and registration number for each Assembly Member and since all efforts have proofed futile, he informed every beneficiary to take due processes to acquire motor license and registration number before putting it into operation because the MCE has payed the cost of the licensing.

Hon Alexander Obour Damoah, the Municipal Chief Executive for Wenchi Municipal urged beneficiaries of the motorbikes to obey road safety regulations to make them live longer to serve the people at their electoral areas in the Municipality.
